May 18th the group will study the unique landscape style of Emily Carr! We will learn about expressing the feeling versus replicating the rederence image! Hands on practice will follow the formal presentation and demonstration. There will be artist's own fun "warm up" practice! We will apply Carr'sr phenomenal beloved style to our own photographs or copy the sample provided. Although mostly acrylic paints are recommended students will be encouraged to explore multimedia options for their own expressions. For this syudy water soluble oils will be allwed with special care.  The Instructor will send out the information about an artist under study,  prior, so everyone can prepare and think about the images in advance.

Emily Carr's message and style will be studied in order to search for your own individual expression.
